Terms of Service
Last updated: May 17, 2026. These Terms govern access to Cine Study Lab, including Shot Library, AI-assisted study tools, FrameDrop, subscriptions, and related services.
1. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must not share access in a way that bypasses plan limits or product entitlements.
2. Subscriptions, billing, and plan access
During beta, paid checkout is paused and plan access is granted manually by Cine Study Lab administrators while the product and payment review package are stabilized.
Paid plans may include AI quota, private Shot Library capacity, guided visual study workflows, or other features described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. A payment provider may act as merchant of record or payment processor and may handle billing, taxes, invoices, payment methods, and subscription management.
If you cancel a subscription, access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period unless the payment provider, applicable law, or a written support decision says otherwise.
3. Refund policy
Refund requests are reviewed through the payment provider and Cine Study Lab support. Unless required by applicable law or a written support decision, renewal payments and partially used billing periods are generally non-refundable after paid features have been made available.
We may consider refunds for duplicate charges, payment processing errors, or accidental first purchases reported promptly. Canceling a subscription prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund a completed billing period.
See the standalone Refund Policy for the current review process and contact details.
4. Your uploads and saved work
You keep ownership of images, videos, notes, metadata, and scene work you upload or create. You grant Cine Study Lab the limited rights needed to store, process, display, transform, analyze, and back up that material so the service can operate.
You must have the rights needed for anything you upload, submit, or copy into your Shot Library. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, private, or harmful material.
5. AI-assisted features
AI suggestions are study aids, not professional advice or verified film records. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them or publishing work based on them.
6. User media, reference materials, and study workflows
FrameDrop and related study tools help users organize, annotate, compare, and analyze visual references for composition, color, lighting, blocking, texture, and visual storytelling.
Cine Study Lab is not a stock media library, film still archive, streaming service, or substitute source for copyrighted films, posters, promotional stills, or other third-party media.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions, licenses, or lawful basis for any image, video, note, metadata, or reference material you upload, save, copy, or analyze through the service.
Copyright, trademark, publicity, and other rights in third-party materials remain with their respective owners. Cine Study Lab does not claim ownership of third-party media and does not grant you any rights to reuse third-party material outside the service.
Cine Study Lab may provide sample or operator-managed materials only when they are created by the operator, licensed, public-domain, or otherwise authorized for the intended use.
You may not use Cine Study Lab to resell, redistribute, publish, scrape, bulk download, advertise with, merchandise, or build a public or commercial archive from third-party media.
We may remove, restrict, or disable access to any material if we believe it may violate these Terms, applicable law, third-party rights, platform rules, or payment provider requirements.
7. Prohibited conduct
Do not reverse engineer, scrape, bulk download, bypass access controls, abuse AI or storage limits, interfere with the service, impersonate others, or use Cine Study Lab to infringe rights or violate law. See the Prohibited Content Policy for additional content rules.
8. Third-party services
The service may rely on providers such as hosting, database, authentication, payment, AI/API, storage, analytics, and metadata providers. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply when you interact with them.
9. Copyright and takedown requests
Cine Study Lab respects intellectual property rights. If you believe material available through the service infringes your copyright or other rights, please follow the process in our Copyright Policy.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms as the product changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risk, or misuse paid features.
11. Contact
For support, billing, rights-holder, or policy questions, contact the operator at support@cinestudylab.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
